Overview: The Calendar Subscription feature has been refined to streamline the import and export processes and provide greater control over event properties. These changes are aimed at improving the user experience and data management capabilities within the Calendar module.
Updates:
1. Import Attendees:
CloudOffix will no longer import attendees from external sources (like Google-Outlook Calendar), simplifying the event creation process and reducing data clutter.
2. Export Events:
The functionality to export synced events from external sources such as Outlook, Google Calendar, etc. to Cloudoffix with Calendar Export has been removed. This change focuses on improving the management of calendar events created from within CloudOffix.
3. Event Property Export:
Users can now import event properties (private, public, hidden) exported from external sources (such as Google-Outlook Calendar) into Cloudoffix Calendar, giving them more control over how event details are shared and managed.
Benefits:
Simplified Event Management:
Reduces the complexity of handling external attendee data, making it easier to manage events internally.
Improved Data Security:
Enhances control over event properties, allowing users to maintain the desired level of privacy and confidentiality for their events.
Streamlined Workflow:
Focuses on internal event management, reducing the need to synchronize with multiple external calendars and improving overall efficiency.
How it works?
Event Property Export
- Go to https://calendar.google.com/ address.
- Click on to Settings and Sharing button from the calendar you want to share.
- In the Secret address in iCal format field at the bottom of the settings page, make the link visible and copy it.
- With the link you copied, you can transfer your events to the Cloudoffix platform. To do this, click on the gear icon in the Calendar Subscription area. (1) Then, in the pop-up that opens, paste the link you copied (2) and give your subscription a name (3) and click the add button. (4) Then click the Save button. (5)
- You can now see that private meetings in Google Calendar are also privately transferred to Cloudoffix. This means that other users cannot view the details of your meetings when they view your calendar.
